Enquiries Email: [email protected]: +2/449ANEXTURE AHANDLING AND REMOVAL OF HAZARDOUS WASTE INCLUDING ASBESTOS MATERIAL, AND ANY OTHER GENERAL WASTE GENERATED DURING THE REFURBISHMENT PROJECT FOR MORUPULE A POWER STATIONThe Botswana Power Corporation (BPC), as the National Power utility of the Republic of Botswana has started the refurbishment of Morupule A Power Station 4 x 33 MW units.
The station is located in Palapye, the Central District about 270 km North East of the capital city Gaborone.
During the refurbishment of the power station all waste material, asbestos, and all demolished equipment will be collected and brought by the refurbishment contractors for intermediate storage to designated onsite storage areas or other agreed onsite waste collection points.
The project consists of two tenders as shown in “Annexure A” table below.
Documents for these tenders shall be collected from: Supply Chain Manager at Plot 1222 Nkrumah road Light Industrial Site Gaborone or Trans-Africa Projects Limited, Central Park Block Q, 400 16th Road, Randjespark Ext 52, Midrand, 1685, Republic of South Africa for Tender No. 9429/14-02upon payment of a non-refundable document fee of P500.00 per Tender inclusive of VAT.
Sealed Tenders are to be submitted on or before the dates stipulated in the tender document (see also Annexure A) and should be placed in the tender box situated in the Supply Chain Procurement Office at the above address.
International Bidders to ensure that they apply for the visas timeously to be able to attend any compulsory site/tenders clarification meeting.
As far as practicable waste materials shall be handled, separated, stored and disposed of that they can be recycled as far as such arrangements exist locally or elsewhere.
